Frequently Asked Questions

Translation and Translation Republishing Permissions

In almost every situation, Christianity Today is not able to grant permission for our articles or translations to appear in entirety on another website. Other websites may include brief and limited content by CT upon request and on the following conditions.

How do I receive permission to translate an English article that has not already been translated into my language?

Send us your request by email, and provide a description of your publication, and the expected date of publication.

If we grant you permission, please note:

  • A complete and proofread translation will be sent to us first to possibly post on our site.
  • The translation will be revised by a CT editor.
  • In most circumstances, you will only publish a third of the translation on your site.
  • No edits or changes to the translated text should be made without letting us know.
  • We will publish the translation first so as to provide the link to our site that should be included in the credit line.
  • The following credit line must appear in your publication:

This article first appeared on Christianity Today [link to the original article]. Translated with permission of Christianity Today, Carol Stream, IL 60188. Find all articles in [language] from Christianity Today here [insert language page].

How can I republish an article in my language from Christianity Today on my site?

Send us your request by email, and provide a description of your publication, and the expected date of publication.

If we grant you permission, please note:

  • Permission may be granted to post up to one third of a CT translation with a link redirecting back to our original article.

To continue reading this article, visit Christianity Today [insert link to the original article]. Used with permission of Christianity Today, Carol Stream, IL 60188. Find all articles in [language] from Christianity Today here [insert language page].
